Language is the key to the world – and that's precisely where our "Word Magic & Language Power" learning environment comes in. Children discover how exciting words, stories, and languages can be, and learn to express themselves clearly, creatively, and confidently.
The "Word Magic & Language Power" learning environment is divided into four sub-areas:
1️⃣ Language Development in German (Reading, Writing & Spelling)
This area focuses on building strong language skills in German. Children practice reading, writing, and spelling, thus developing a solid foundation for everyday school life. Reading promotion and the inclusion of selected children's and young adult literature create a vibrant connection to language and foster a love of reading.
2️⃣ German as a Second Language (GSL)
This area is aimed at children who want to learn or consolidate German as a second language. The goal is to teach the language in a practical, everyday, and playful way. Children expand their language comprehension and expressive abilities.
3️⃣ Promoting Multilingualism
In this area, the linguistic diversity of children is valued and actively integrated into the learning process. Children learn to compare different languages, make connections, and recognize patterns. In this way, their multilingualism is used as a valuable resource that enriches learning and thinking.
4️⃣ Foreign Languages (currently: English)
This area supports children in learning English playfully or deepening their existing knowledge. Creative methods and age-appropriate materials make language tangible. Children develop a growing sense of language and a joy in learning foreign languages.
Coachy provides targeted support to children in the area that is currently relevant to them. Whether it's German/reading/writing, promoting multilingualism, or supporting children with German as a second language – each learning area is separate and is selected together according to the child's needs.
📖 Promoting reading with fun and motivation: Through stories, audiobooks, picture books, and storytelling sessions, an interest in reading is sparked. Coachy reads aloud, listens, and offers books.
✍️ Writing & Creativity: Whether it's short stories, rhymes, or exciting texts – children discover that writing is fun.
🔤 Grammar and Spelling: Spelling and grammar are practiced through movement games, puzzles, creative writing tasks, and interactive exercises. Mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities.
